Any spiritual director will tell you that there is more and more anger around today than at any other period in recent history. What are the reasons for this? The
question is very complex; there is no simple answer. Deacon Doug will look at this question from the point of view of logic and the limits of knowledge. But the
way to healing the deeper reservoir of anger will also be explored.
Doug McManaman is a Deacon of the Archdiocese of Toronto, and he is a teacher at Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy. He is the past president of the
Canadian Fellowship of Catholic Scholars. He is the author of several books including Why Be Afraid?, The Logic of Anger, Basic Catholicism, Introduction to Philosophy
for Young People, and A Treatise on the Four Cardinal Virtues. His ministry as a Deacon has been to those who suer from mental illness.

She will also examine how Our Lady is a model for women for both spiritual growth and inspiration for prayer.
Sr. Maria Kateri is originally from Philadelphia and entered the Sisters of Life in 1995. The Sisters of Life was founded in 1991 by Cardinal O’Connor and is a
contemplative-active community dedicated to the protection of human life. She has been in Toronto since 2009 at the Sisters of Life Visitation Mission which provides
